Biography
Chef, Author, and Culinary Commentator, Thierry Daraize has been a Montrealer for over thirty years, building both his career and family life in the city. Having lived in the Southwest district of Montreal for nearly a decade, he is well-versed in the realities and challenges of a dynamic borough.
With a distinguished career in some of the most prestigious establishments in France and Quebec (Lutetia Paris, Ritz-Carlton, Club Saint-Denis, Château Mont-Tremblant), Thierry has become a prominent voice in gastronomy. His award-winning works, including Sur le gril (World Cookbook Award) and Nutrition gourmande (Canadian Culinary Book Awards), have solidified his reputation in the culinary world.
A well-known figure in the Quebec media landscape, Thierry has hosted and provided commentary on television and radio (Radio-Canada, TVA, Canal Vie, CKAC, 98.5 FM, QUB Radio). He is also the creator of the platform T.FOUD, a culinary hub that highlights the talent and creativity of local artisans. In 2025, he is running for mayor of the Southwest as a candidate for Ensemble Montréal alongside Soraya Martinez Ferrada.
