Verdun

André Dussault

Candidate - City Councillor
DESMARCHAIS-CRAWFORD

Biography

I live in the Crawford neighbourhood in Verdun and, like many of my neighbours, I want our borough to continue evolving in ways that improve quality of life for everyone. Safety around schools remains a key concern for families. The coexistence of cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers also needs to be rethought to make getting around easier for all. Our parks could be better prioritised and lit to balance friendliness with respect for nearby residents. And of course, every winter reminds us just how important effective snow removal is for keeping our streets safe and traffic flowing.

Who am I?
I’m a multilingual executive specializing in strategic communications and brand management, with over 20 years of experience across diverse sectors: real estate, urban development, aviation, energy, pharmaceuticals, and advanced technologies. My expertise spans corporate communications, media relations, branding, and executive visibility within complex and competitive environments.

I’ve successfully led multiple large-scale organizational transitions, including generational successions that required deep transformation. These experiences have proven my ability to drive change, engage stakeholders, and modernize practices while maintaining continuity.

As a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Agile practitioner, I have strong experience in process optimization and in developing customer-focused growth strategies. I excel at implementing integrated communication programs, aligning internal teams, and building lasting engagement with clients and partners.

Recognized as a mobilizing and visionary leader, I combine strategic discipline with creativity to deliver measurable results. My goal is to put the experience I’ve gained in Canada, the United States, and internationally to work for Verdun — to actively contribute to our citizens’ quality of life and help our community thrive.
