Now in her second mandate, Alba Stella Zúñiga Ramos draws on her inspiring journey and political experience to represent the citizens of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve with conviction.
Originally from a modest background in Colombia, Alba arrived in Canada at the age of 15, speaking neither French nor English. Through hard work and determination, she is now a trilingual lawyer, with degrees from McGill University and the University of Ottawa, specializing in disciplinary, administrative, and immigration law.
Before being elected, she worked as a political attaché and liaison officer for Ensemble Montréal representatives, always attentive to residents and committed to finding concrete solutions to local issues. Since her election in 2021, Alba has stood out as a strong advocate for a more inclusive, sustainable, and globally connected Montreal, championing civic participation, active mobility, and responsible economic development.
