Biography
Alexandre Devaux-Guizani is Ensemble Montréal’s candidate for city councillor in Maisonneuve–Longue-Pointe. Living in the heart of his district, he is committed to listening to residents and addressing their priorities: cleaner and safer streets, efficient and accessible public services, and a simple and transparent municipal administration.
A graduate in Communication, Politics and Society from UQAM, he worked as a political aide in the office of the federal Member of Parliament for Hochelaga. This experience gave him a solid understanding of the district’s challenges, a clear sense of residents’ realities, and direct contact with families, seniors, youth and local business owners.
His commitments are clear: restore weekly garbage collection during the summer, repair streets and sidewalks while better controlling heavy truck traffic, cut red tape and shorten permit delays, take concrete action on homelessness, and revive local consultation committees on mobility and safety.
In Maisonneuve–Longue-Pointe, Alexandre proposes creating a nature park in Assomption-Sud to protect living environments and connect green spaces, making Hochelaga Street a more pleasant place to live and cross, and reopening Honoré-Beaugrand Street to two-way traffic between Dubuisson and Hochelaga.
With Ensemble Montréal – Team Soraya, he aims to provide a strong and approachable voice for residents, working for a cleaner, safer and more dynamic borough.
