Biography
A resident of Hochelaga for over 15 years, Alexandre Giasson knows his neighborhood intimately, its strengths as well as its challenges. After studying sociology, history, and geopolitics at UQAM, he redirected his career toward strategic and business development in the industrial sector, all while remaining deeply engaged in his community.
Since 2017, Alexandre has been a volunteer at Chic Resto Pop, contributing each week to supporting the most vulnerable. He is also involved in several community initiatives addressing housing issues, homelessness, and food security, major concerns for Hochelaga.
Known for his pragmatism, active listening, and respect for all voices in public debate, Alexandre is a hands-on leader. Outgoing and community minded, he values direct action and close collaboration with residents. For him, the City must realign its priorities and put residents back at the center of decision making to improve quality of life in the neighborhood.
With Ensemble Montréal Équipe Soraya, Alexandre aims to represent the citizens of Hochelaga with transparency, efficiency, and determination. His goal is clear: to build a borough that is more inclusive, safer, and more human, where decisions are made with residents, not despite them.
