Biography
A resident of the Robert-Bourassa district for over 13 years, Amélie Cliche brings more than 20 years of experience in communications, public relations, and public affairs. Her career spans diverse environments, including political parties, government agencies, communication firms, and major private corporations.
Amélie’s political journey began during her graduate studies in environmental toxicology, driven by a desire to see a government that is sensitive to environmental issues. This initial experience sparked a passion for civic engagement and a strong commitment to actively contribute to her community’s development.
From 2004 to 2006, she served as a political attaché in the Canadian government, followed by roles as press attaché for the Quebec government and the City of Laval. She then joined TELUS Communications Inc. as Senior Director of Media Relations and later worked as Corporate Communications Advisor at NATIONAL Public Relations.
After a professional break to focus on her family, Amélie undertook various mandates before becoming Chief of Staff at the Outremont mayor’s office. This role deepened her understanding of local issues and municipal administration.
Today, Amélie joins Caroline Braun’s team with Ensemble Montréal – Équipe Soraya to bring her dedication and expertise to the residents of Robert-Bourassa. Her priorities include:
- Transit and Mobility: Restoring tranquility to residential streets and ensuring safety for all
- Public Safety: Enhancing services to strengthen the neighborhood’s sense of security
- Inclusive and Transparent Governance: Promoting citizen participation and open, collaborative decision-making
