Biography

Elected in 2021, Annie Gagnier brings her professional experience and her commitment to the collective well-being of the borough to her role as Borough Councillor. She is deeply dedicated to improving the quality of local life, with a particular focus on urban planning, safety, and sustainable development.

Her approach is resolutely pragmatic: she prioritizes concrete solutions tailored to the realities on the ground and acts with empathy and efficiency to meet the needs of residents. She actively represents and supports local organizations, recognizing their essential role in fostering community vitality and cohesion.

As a member of the Urban Planning Advisory Committee (CCU) over the past four years, Annie has played a key role in evaluating real estate and architectural projects, ensuring their quality, harmonious integration into the urban landscape, and contribution to the borough’s cohesive development.

SAINT-LAURENT

  1. Further secure our streets and neighborhoods and strengthen crime prevention among youth.
  2. Promote harmonious living together and the inclusion of all communities.
  3. Effectively combat floods and make Saint-Laurent a leader in ecological transition.
  4. Improve the public and active transportation network.
  5. Complete the five REM stations in Saint-Laurent and support efforts to extend the Orange line and Cavendish Boulevard.
  6. Preserve healthy housing through reinforced inspections and support the creation of social and affordable housing.
  7. Implement a synthetic soccer field.
  8. Build the Jules-Poitras Community Center.
