Biography
A Montrealer for over 20 years, a hands-on woman, community leader, and seasoned professional, Estelle Lokrou is running as a city councillor candidate with Ensemble Montréal, driven by a clear goal: to listen to citizens and take concrete action to improve quality of life in her borough.
A jurist and political scientist by trade, Estelle has accumulated over two decades of social engagement with the most vulnerable communities. She has supported people experiencing homelessness, isolated seniors, at-risk youth, refugees, women victims of domestic violence, families living in precarious situations, sick children, people at the end of life, and individuals living with mental health issues. She designed and coordinated several innovative psychosocial support programs such as Allô Suicide, Allô Dépression, and Allô Écoute, which played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing listening, support, and guidance to those in distress.
A trilingual professional (French, English, Spanish), she also worked as a business development manager in the renewable energy sector.
At the same time, she is currently completing an Executive MBA (EMBA) in management for working professionals and recently participated in an international training at NEOMA Business School (France) focused on innovation, artificial intelligence, and sustainable marketing strategies. In 2024, she completed training in responsible management, reinforcing her commitment to ethical, inclusive, and sustainable municipal governance.
Her civic engagement, both in the community and in politics, makes Estelle a citizen who now wishes to put her experience, rigor, and attentiveness at the service of Sud-Ouest residents.
“Being close to people, sincerely listening to them, understanding their needs, and taking concrete action. That’s how I see the role of a municipal councillor.” – Estelle Lokrou
