Biography
A resident of the Plateau-Mont-Royal for over 35 years, Isabelle Laurier is running as a borough councillor, driven by a will to protect everything that makes this area of the Plateau so unique, vibrant and creative.
Trained as an architect, cultural project manager and multidisciplinary artist, she has built a career at the intersection of art, architecture and community action. For more than 15 years, she has led major projects integrating culture into our living environments, in collaboration with institutional, community and Indigenous partners. Her approach is based on listening, consultation and inclusion. She has recognized expertise in partnership development, strategic management and the organization of cultural events, both locally and internationally. At the same time, she founded and directed a classical music school for more than 20 years, thus contributing to the artistic education of several generations of young Montrealers. Even today, her personal involvement in the arts allows her to promote access to culture through community.
Her commitment is clear: to make the Plateau an ever more supportive, green, accessible and clean neighborhood. She believes in a close-knit, transparent and attentive governance, where every voice counts. She wishes to address the issues that impact daily life — housing, culture, mobility, environment, community life—with rigor and humanity.
Together, let’s make the Plateau an urban model on a human scale, for today and for future generations.
