Biography

I’ve been a proud resident of Île-Bizard for 23 years and an active member of the Optimist Club for the past eight. As a mother and grandmother, I care deeply about the well-being of our community. My career was spent largely in financial institutions and as a credit manager in various companies, later transitioning into customer service for a private firm, which allowed me to work alongside my husband and be more present at home. Retired,for 10 years I remain active in the community and have returned to my passion for painting. I’m running for municipal councillor to bring dedication, transparency, and a strong local voice to Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève.

Our Commitments for

ÎLE-BIZARD–SAINTE-GENEVIÈVE

BOROUGH

  1. Protect our green spaces, our agricultural lands, and keep housing construction to a minimum in the zones already designated for this purpose.
  2. Obtain fair and recurring financial compensation from the central city for choosing not to build on our green spaces and agricultural lands, to avoid excessive taxation of citizens.
  3. Repair streets and sidewalks, and install access ramps on Jacques-Bizard/Gouin and Jacques-Bizard/Pierrefonds in the westbound direction.
  4. Implement an automated local notification system in case of emergencies or important events to quickly reach all citizens.
  5. Improve the cleanliness of parks and public spaces.
  6. Ensure rapid processing of complaints submitted to the 311 system.
  7. Promote associations and organizations working in the borough.
  8. Continue efforts to build a francophone high school.
