With a solid political background and long-standing community involvement, Julie-Pascale Provost served as the borough councillor for the Canal district in Lachine from 2017 to 2021. An anthropologist, she holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Laval University and has been a professor at the CEGEP level for 18 years. Actively engaged in her community, Julie-Pascale has chaired a housing cooperative and served as an eco-leader. She also held leadership roles, including President of the School Council at Jardin des Saints-Anges, Vice-President of the School Council at Collège Saint-Louis, and Vice-President of the Collège Saint-Louis Foundation.
A mother of four, Julie-Pascale published a children’s book in 2020 aimed at introducing young readers (ages 4-7) to politics and civic engagement. A talented communicator, she also hosted the Lundis Causeries in St-Pierre, a neighborhood in Lachine.
Julie-Pascale embodies intellectual rigor, humanity, and a strong connection with citizens. Her career, at the intersection of education and civic mobilization, reflects her deep commitment to respect, democracy, and transparency in governance.
She is committed to managing the Lachine Borough in a rigorous and responsible manner, ensuring transparency and being attentive to the needs of citizens.
