Biography
Born and raised in the West Island, Louise Leroux embodies the spirit of Pierrefonds-Roxboro, where she continues to live with her husband and their three children. For Louise, this neighborhood is more than just a place of residence—it’s a true community home, fostering family growth, solidarity, and civic action.
Louise is deeply committed to the safety in school zones and the well-being of the neighborhood’s youth. She actively works to create safe, inclusive, and inspiring environments for families, ensuring that every child can grow with confidence while surrounded by a supportive network.
Since 2017, she has served as Borough Councillor for the Bois-de-Liesse district, focusing particularly on social inequalities, the challenges posed by climate change, and public safety. It was through her initiative, when she was a school commissioner, that the Pierrefonds-Roxboro public French high school came into existence. Louise is currently a member of the School Council at this institution, now called École secondaire de l’Attitude, where she continues her active involvement in the community.
Louise also serves on the Board of Directors of Cégep Gérald-Godin as a representative of the socio-economic community. As Chair of the Ethics and Governance Committee, she contributes to ensuring transparency, accountability, and quality institutional decision-making.
A graduate in Communication (Organizational Development) and Administration, Louise brings her expertise to dialogue and collaboration. She has worked at Canada Post for over 31 years, a career that reflects her rigor and commitment to service. In 2014, she chaired the Roxboro Centennial Committee, a unifying project that highlighted the history and richness of the local community. She also served as President of the School Council at École Lalande and School Commissioner at the Marguerite-Bourgeoys School Board from 2014 to 2020.
Today, Louise is seeking a third term with the same passion and dedication. She aims to continue building an inclusive, safe, and forward-looking Pierrefonds-Roxboro. Because, together, we make the difference.
