Biography

Peter Shatilla: A New Voice for NDG | Father, Entrepreneur, and Problem Solver Beyond Politics

Peter Shatilla is stepping forward as Ensemble Montréal’s – Team Soraya candidate for city councillor in NDG because he believes it’s time for practical, people-focused leadership that puts residents first.

A fully bilingual, long-time resident of NDG, Peter and his wife have proudly raised their two children here, living the life so many families know well: early morning hockey practices, ringuette tournaments, soccer games, and baseball seasons that fill the calendar. He understands the challenges, dreams, and everyday realities of NDG families because he lives them too.

As a business owner, Peter built his career on hard work, listening, and applying common sense solutions. He understands what it takes to manage finances responsibly, balance competing interests, and overcome adversity. Peter has also seen firsthand how wasteful spending and poor planning hurt businesses, families, and taxpayers alike, and he’s committed to doing better.

That’s why Peter is running. He’s tired of seeing money wasted while roads crumble, services lag, and residents feel unheard. NDG deserves better.

At City Hall, Peter will bring a business-minded, results-driven approach:

  • Strong leadership that puts the community’s needs above politics
  • Fiscal responsibility to keep costs under control
  • Practical solutions for better services, safer streets, and stronger neighborhoods

Peter believes real leadership starts with real conversations, listening first, acting with integrity, and staying grounded in the needs of the community. He’s ready to roll up his sleeves and fight for the residents of NDG.

This November 2nd, vote for Peter Shatilla, a father, entrepreneur, and neighbor committed to rebuilding a better NDG for everyone.
