Biography
Motivated by a deep desire to make a difference, Philippe Thermidor is a young and dedicated leader who puts community action at the center of his work. Elected borough councillor in Montréal-Nord in 2021, he has long advocated for a fairer, more inclusive, and more united society.
Originally from Haiti, Philippe made Quebec his home. A graduate in humanities from Collège de Maisonneuve, he is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in literature at the Université de Montréal. He firmly believes that diversity and youth are vital strengths that must be fully supported.
His commitment is reflected in concrete actions: he served on his college’s intercultural committee, co-hosted the Héritage et Partage podcast on the Forum Jeunesse de Saint-Michel’s radio station, and was an active member of its administrative committee. Every week, he helps distribute hot meals to people experiencing homelessness at Place Émilie-Gamelin.
His on-the-ground experience also includes working as a blue-collar employee and more than five years of involvement with the youth wing of a provincial political party, strengthening both his commitment and his understanding of social issues. For Philippe, education, solidarity, and civic engagement are key to a healthy society.
