Biography
Shane brings a wealth of experience of working with community and non-profit organizations for the past 8 years in Montreal. Most recently he worked closely with the Canadian Red Cross and the federal government to distribute 110 million dollars to charities across the country.
He is rooted and deeply involved in the Southwest, having lived nearby for almost a decade and having family live and work there for many years. He plays basketball at Oscar Peterson, tennis in St-Henri, spends time at Burgundy Lion and understands very well the current needs and the historical context of these areas.
A graduate of Sociology at Concordia University, he engaged in politics right away believing municipal politics as the most direct route to make a lasting positive impact. After running with Mouvement Montréal in 2021, he turned towards the Ensemble Montréal team, seeing its potential to govern after a draining 8 years under Projet Montréal.
He wants to ensure the getting around isn’t always an obstacle and that the city is transparent, accountable and efficient with its plans- all while focusing on improving citizens’ quality of life. Shane loves Montreal and believes like many of us, it is time for a change.
