Biography
A dedicated leader, a voice for all
Stephanie Valenzuela knows the challenges of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce because she has lived them, experienced them firsthand, and has been working to address them since her election in 2021 as City Councillor for the Darlington District, a neighborhood she has proudly called home for 34 years.
A first-generation Filipino-Canadian and graduate in Political Science and International Development from McGill University, Stephanie built expertise early in her career in project management, community relations, and sustainable development. Her work with the Black Community Association of Côte-des-Neiges and the non-profit organization Peace Begins with Children gave her a deep understanding of the complexity of social issues and the importance of uniting efforts to find concrete solutions.

- Chair of the Ensemble Montréal Caucus, bringing together elected officials from across all boroughs
Leadership and Advocacy
Stéphanie has stood out for her ability to defend and amplify the voices of CDN–NDG residents:
- She has called for concrete solutions to address the homelessness crisis at Martin Luther King Park
- She gave a voice to Loyola residents affected by flooding, calling for better coordination of municipal services
- She actively promotes cultural diversity and civic participation throughout the borough
A vision for the future
About to become a mother for the first time, Stephanie brings a fresh perspective on the needs of young families—safe neighborhoods, affordable housing, welcoming green spaces, and accessible services.
She firmly believes that the diversity of CDN–NDG is a strength that must be reflected in political decisions and local governance.
With this vision of inclusion, proximity, and concrete action, Stephanie Valenzuela is running for Borough Mayor, determined to make Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce a place where every resident feels heard, protected, and represented.
