With more than 25 years of expertise in strategic urban planning, Sylvain Gariépy has led major projects that have shaped the landscape of many municipalities across Québec. As former President of the Ordre des urbanistes du Québec, he played a leading role in public discussions on the housing crisis, sustainable land use, and urban sprawl, and contributed actively to the development of Québec’s National Policy on Architecture and Land Use Planning.
During his career, Sylvain was a partner at Provencher_Roy for ten years before joining BC2, where he oversaw multidisciplinary teams on high-profile mandates. He notably led the redevelopment planning of the Société de développement Angus central district, contributed to the urban and environmental integration of the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge, and participated in the revitalization of Sainte-Catherine Street West.
Passionate about sustainable urbanism, neighborhood revitalization, and citizen participation, Sylvain Gariépy is committed to using his expertise to create denser, greener, and more inclusive urban spaces for Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension.
