Victor Esposito

Candidate - City Councillor
SAINT-SULPICE

Biography

Born and raised in Montreal, Victor Esposito is a recognized leader and a tireless advocate for his community. With more than ten years of experience in business and federal politics, he is running for city councillor in the district of Saint Sulpice (Ahuntsic Cartierville) with Ensemble Montréal, ready to put his knowledge, energy, and passion for innovation at the service of a stronger and more dynamic future for the y’a neighborhood.

Proudly multilingual, Victor speaks fluent French and English and has Italian and Spanish roots, reflecting both the diversity of the city he calls home and his family’s heritage.

He studied at Loyola High School, Marianopolis College, and Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and Finance. At Concordia, he was elected president of the Commerce and Administration Students’ Association (CASA) and co-founded the John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition (JMUCC), which has since become one of the world’s most prestigious undergraduate business competitions, bringing together 24 international universities in Montreal.

After university, Victor began his career as a business consultant at IBM Global Business Services, working with clients across Eastern Canada and in Bermuda. As part of the IBM Interactive Experience team, he specialized in user experience in the retail sector, collaborating with industries ranging from aviation and banking to food, pharmaceuticals, and real estate. This role sharpened his skills in innovation, problem solving, and client focused solutions, tools he later brought to public service.

For more than ten years, Victor worked in politics at the highest levels of the Canadian government. He served as Manager of Operations for the Minister of Canadian Heritage, then as Manager of Strategic Initiatives for the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, and as Director of Operations for the Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Youth. He later joined the Prime Minister of Canada’s Advance and Tour Team, where he spent five years organizing and executing national and international visits that shaped key moments in Canadian political and civic life.

Victor’s family also proudly operated a chain of grocery stores, with his father celebrating 60 years in the food industry. Growing up in this environment, surrounded by hard work, education, and entrepreneurial values, gave him a deep appreciation for local entrepreneurship and the vital role it plays in the life of our neighborhoods.

Passionate about innovation, Victor envisions Saint Sulpice as a hub of cultural and economic growth. His campaign draws on his experiences and focuses on three key priorities:

  • Revitalizing neighborhoods and bringing new energy to our commercial streets, including Chabanel Street, Saint Laurent Boulevard, and Lajeunesse Street.

  • Investing in parks, green spaces, community facilities, and innovative climate solutions to improve the quality of life for youth, families, and seniors.

  • Offering balanced and safe mobility solutions that respect cyclists and public transit users while protecting local parking for residents and businesses.

Throughout his career, whether in business, politics, or community work, Victor has always pursued one goal: to listen, to act, and to deliver concrete results for the people he serves. Today, he is ready to bring that same commitment to the residents of Saint Sulpice.
