He is someone who understands the reality of the borough, and cares deeply for its development, said Lionel Perez. He is truly a candidate of proximity. For us, it is clear the Plateau-Mont-Royal is in the need of a mayor who listens to its citizens and is aware of the day to day business.”
Jean-Pierre Szaraz is a self-employed social media consultant and community engagement manager. He has worked for several businesses in the Plateau-Mont-Royal, which provide him with an understanding of the reality that businesses face. This is the reason why he always buys locally. His involvement as an activist span from the maintaining of baseball games in Jeanne-Mance Park, to rally against the closing of Camillien-Houde Way.
Very active in the borough council meetings of Le Plateau-Mont-Royal, where he has criticized publicly the shortcomings of the Ferrandez administration. Jean-Pierre Szaraz was a candidate in the 2017 elections, for the position of Borough Councillor in the De Lorimier District.
“I love the Plateau-Mont-Royal, and if elected mayor, I will work for all its citizens. Many are upset with the decisions of the current administration, and are asking for change, said Jean-Pierre Szaraz. We need a mayor that listens to the needs of its citizens and the local businesses, who are at the heart of economic development. I am running, to listen to the needs of everyone, and not to work in secret.”
