These will be implemented in collaboration and alignment with the Government of Quebec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this way, Soraya Martinez Ferrada aims to target private companies that pose as landlords and deprive tenants of potential housing in the midst of a crisis. It should be noted that Projet Montr\u00e9al&#8217;s regulations pushed people toward illegality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Regulate, Protect, Act: Ensemble Montr\u00e9al&#8217;s Commitments<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To ensure stricter, more effective and functional regulation, an Ensemble Montr\u00e9al administration commits to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Complete ban across the entire territor<\/strong>y on commercial short-term rentals by registered businesses, in collaboration with the new mayors&#8217; table;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Increase the number of inspectors to 50<\/strong> for the next two years;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Limit citizens&#8217; short-term rentals<\/strong> to a flexible 90 days per year;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Work in collaboration with the Government of Quebec<\/strong> to share necessary information to ensure that only primary residences receive permits;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Quotes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We urgently need strong leadership to solve the housing crisis, which is worse than ever in Montreal because of the Plante-Rabouin administration. At Ensemble Montr\u00e9al, we will continue to prioritize citizens over commercial interests.
