Part-time lawyer in a private practice firm, Caroline Braun, former litigation attorney at the Montreal Community Legal Centre for three years, is the voice of a vulnerable population for nearly 12 years. A graduate of the Quebec Bar (in Montreal), the Outremont borough councillor is also a graduate of the HEC Montreal School for Leaders. Throughout her professional career, Caroline has been accustomed to facing difficult situations and finding solutions.

With her legal education and desire for involvement, Caroline Braun also volunteers with various organizations that advocate for access to justice. She has served on the board of directors of Clinique Droits Devant and was a partner attorney for the Mobile Legal Clinic. Additionally, she participates in free legal clinics offered in the metro by Juripop and provides internships through the Young Explorers and Lawyer for a Day programs. Her responsibilities also extend to the academic field as she serves as an internship supervisor for the Bar.

Caroline has also held various positions on different daycare committees and served as vice-president on the Board of Directors of CPE Querbes. A former member of the 55th Guynemer Scouts, she has been a longtime volunteer for SARPAD (Services for Accompaniment and Respite for the Elderly at Home) since 2006. Her commitment during the first wave of Covid-19 was recognized with a medal presented by the federal MP for Outremont.

Outremont citizens will find in Caroline a committed mother, deeply involved in her community who pledges to be an accessible elected official who listens to residents. She has organized walks to save the dog park and to denounce the parking plan implemented by the former Projet Montréal administration. She also founded a Facebook page where she summarized council sessions and discussed issues affecting the borough.

For Ms. Braun, pedestrian safety, culture, families, seniors, and the beauty of the borough, parks, and architecture are key elements that must be defended and promoted. She is also committed to addressing climate change in a positive manner, promoting cycling, and implementing smooth and safe bike paths.
