Soraya Martinez Ferrada Unveils AI Solutions to Transform Montreal City Services

Montreal, May 22, 2025 – At C2 Montreal, mayoral candidate and leader of Ensemble Montréal, Soraya Martinez Ferrada, presented commitments regarding artificial intelligence (AI) to improve cleanliness, construction site coordination, construction permit processing, and make Montreal a more efficient, cleaner city with better traffic flow and more affordable services.
“Montreal must once again become a pioneer in innovation, especially since the loss of the Innovation District. Artificial intelligence is a powerful tool to bring the City closer to its citizens and deliver services that meet their expectations. What I propose is an efficient, ambitious city focused on improving services to the population,” declared Soraya Martinez Ferrada.
Three key initiatives for a more efficient City through AI:
- Accelerate permit issuance, improve urban cleanliness, and optimize construction site coordination through AI;
- Create a municipal AI hub to integrate new technologies into public services and position Montreal as a leader in innovation;
- Organize a municipal AI Summit to bring together technology partners, universities, and municipalities around concrete solutions.

Soraya Martinez Ferrada took the opportunity to announce Alexandre Teodoresco’s candidacy for the position of City councillor for the Loyola district, in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.
