Soraya Martinez Ferrada Unveils Platform for Real Change: Starting in the First 100 Days

2025 Election Platform

Ensemble Montréal’s mayoral candidate Soraya Martinez Ferrada, unveiled her electoral platform today, which will serve as a roadmap for Montreal’s future.

Giving Montreal Back to Montrealers

After months of meeting residents across every borough, the message is clear: Montrealers are ready for action. Ensemble Montréal is unveiling a clear and ambitious roadmap focused on six key priorities: housing, combating homelessness, public safety, cleanliness, mobility, and the responsible management of public finances.

Each priority is supported by concrete measures and a clear commitment to put the City back in service for its residents — driving the urgent and necessary change Montreal needs.

“Montrealers are tired of confusion, delays, and broken promises. We’re offering a new approach to governance, one that’s built on efficiency, transparency, and a deep respect for the real priorities of our citizens.” said Soraya Martinez Ferrada.

10 Actions in 100 Days: Building the Foundation for Change

To deliver immediate results, Ensemble Montréal has committed to launching the following key initiatives within the first 100 days of its mandate:

  1. Establish a Mayors’ Roundtable to lay the foundation for consistent, high-quality public services across the entire territory and foster close collaboration between boroughs;
  1. Assess all municipal land and buildings and establish a public registry of vacant or abandoned properties to accelerate housing development;
  1. Replace the “Règlement pour une métropole mixte” with financial incentives and establish a genuine partnership with housing stakeholders—non-profits, private developers, and the real estate sector—to accelerate the construction of affordable and social housing;
  1. Create a Tactical Intervention Group on Homelessness (GITI) and draft a protocol for encampments;
  1. Increase the homelessness budget and create a $10M matching fund with the private sector to combat the homelessness crisis;
  1. Deploy watch committees and increase multidisciplinary teams to rapidly secure our neighborhoods;
  1. Relaunch the Montreal Cultural Metropolis Office;
  1. Conduct an inventory of construction sites and launch a comprehensive assessment of Montreal’s cycling network to evaluate safety issues for all road users (cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists);
  1. Initiate a process to modernize municipal operations and launch a call for proposals in artificial intelligence to improve public services;
  1. Mobilize key partners to develop a coordinated action plan with shared targets aimed at boosting Montreal’s international reach and global appeal.

Quote:

“For months, I’ve walked the streets of this city, meeting residents in every neighborhood. I’ve listened to their concerns about housing, safety, cleanliness, and mobility. But above all, I’ve heard their frustration with the inaction and lack of concrete results from the Plante-Rabouin administration. In just 100 days, we will take the first steps toward real change, change that prioritizes citizens’ needs and restores the ambition our city has lost. Ensemble Montréal is ready to act, starting now.”
