One of the borough’s neighbourhoods celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2005. In fact, it was in 1905 that the municipality of La Petite-Côte became the village of Rosemont. For the past fifteen years, the borough has experienced a notable economic revival. The hospital sector alone generates over 8,000 jobs. The eastern part of the territory is home to one of the island’s main health care centres, which will be called upon to expand even further with the construction of an ambulatory center at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital.
