Maintaining safe and peaceful living environments for our seniors, our children, their families as well as people in a situation of homelessness is a priority for Ensemble Montréal. We also believe that it is urgent to restore trust between the police and the citizens by fighting against racial profiling. Our party recently tabled a motion asking the City of Montréal to proceed with the deployment of body-worn video cameras (“body cams”) for the SPVM police officers following the Camara affair. Ensemble Montréal believes that community organizations working in crime prevention represent a key partner.
